We find the leaks. You keep the names.

Blind Export. Before your files leave your computer, a free tool replaces every supplier, brand and manufacturer part number with a code, like "Supplier 07" or "Brand C". We find your leaks and price problems without ever knowing whose lines they are. The key that turns the codes back into names stays on your computer, and you decode our findings yourself.

  1. Supplier Tredwyn Master Distribution Supplier 02
  2. Brand Kestova Brand A
  3. Maker KESTOVA CARBIDE, INC. Mfr 02
  4. Mfr part # VX-SP-1420 Part 00033
The key, the only list that joins the two columns, never leaves your computer.
Four names from the sample file and the codes we would see instead: Tredwyn Master Distribution becomes Supplier 02; Kestova becomes Brand A; KESTOVA CARBIDE, INC. becomes Mfr 02; VX-SP-1420 becomes Part 00033.

Step 1 · on your computer

1 · Code your file

Drop a CSV or Excel export of your price file, item master or sales history. The tool finds the supplier, brand, manufacturer and part-number columns, gives every name a code, then searches your other columns, like descriptions and notes, for the same names and codes them there too.

Coding next month's file? Load last month's key so every name keeps its code

New names get the next codes. Nothing is changed in your old key.

Your file is read by this tab only. The page is sealed: your browser refuses to let it send anything.

Step 2 · the only thing that travels

2 · Send us the coded file

Send only the coded file, through the restricted, expiring link we give you. The key stays with you.

We see

  • Your own SKUs, prices, costs, quantities and dates, exactly as exported
  • Descriptions and notes with the coded names replaced
  • Codes like Supplier 07, Brand C, Mfr 03, Part 00012

We never see

  • Which supplier, brand or manufacturer a line belongs to
  • Manufacturer part numbers
  • Your key

Blind Export codes supplier, brand, manufacturer and part-number names. It does not change your own SKUs, prices or customer names. If a column names customers, leave it out of the export.

Step 3 · on your computer

3 · Decode our findings

Our findings come back in codes. Load your key and the findings here, and every code turns back into the name it stands for. "Supplier 1" never matches inside "Supplier 10", and any code that is not in your key is listed.

The .csv you kept when you coded the file.

Questions

Fair questions.

The full story of how we handle any file you send is on our trust page.

Is anything uploaded?

No. Coding and decoding run inside this browser tab. The page tells your browser to refuse every outgoing connection a script could make, and the meter counts what the page requests after you start: the bytes sent stay at 0. The one download you might see is the Excel reader (SheetJS), a library file fetched by your browser before your Excel file is opened; nothing of yours goes with it. CSV files need nothing at all.

What if I lose the key?

We can't recover it, because we never had it. Keep it with your files, next to the original export. If it does go missing, code the same file again: the same file always gets the same codes, so you get a matching key back.

Can I check it myself?

Yes. Turn your Wi-Fi off and code a file: it still works, because nothing needs the network. Watch the bytes-sent meter, and open the coded file before you send it. It is a plain CSV.

Does it catch every name?

It codes every value in the columns you tick, and searches your other columns for those same names and part numbers. It can't know a name it never saw, like a supplier mentioned only in a note, so it lists your free-text columns and any leftover words for you to read before you send.

Will the codes be the same next month?

Load last month's key when you code the new file. Every name keeps its code, and new names get the next codes, so our month-to-month findings line up.
